Panaji, Apr 11: In a strong message to local administrative bodies, Goa chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Thursday warned panchayat secretaries of strict consequences if they fail to grant permissions for house repairs within the stipulated three-day period.
Addressing a public function, the chief minister asserted that delays in approving such basic and essential requests would not be tolerated. “People should not have to wait endlessly for minor repair permissions. The system must work efficiently,” Sawant said.
He further warned individuals attempting to interfere with government procedures, making it clear that any obstruction of official duties will attract firm action. “Let there be no misunderstanding—anyone trying to disrupt government functioning will be dealt with sternly,” he cautioned.
The chief minister’s statement underscores the state government’s focus on ensuring transparency, accountability, and swift public service delivery at the grassroots level.
