It seems that the Omni car is at right track and if we observe the brake mark from the car and the spot of the body and the fallen bike, the rider was on overtaking another vehicle and badly hit the car. I am not justifying any one, but really I had obeserved that several bike riders dose not care while over taking any other vehicle which lead the accident. The car would be in top speed also as althogh applied heavy break, it smashes badly with the from the face. every one should be very careful while driving in our highways. now 4 lane road will have more challenging speed and very risky. Authorities should implement some radar system and catch such speeding vehicles, which will reduce such accidents.

I visit Mangalore almost every year and get terrified with the way people drive specially the city bus drivers. We do have such driving in Mumbai but the rate of accident is still lesser than Mangalore. RTO Incharge of Manglore should seriously come up with strict driving rules or else we may still see such accident in the future.

Now it is time for the authorities to make changes in the TRAFFIC LAWS and huge fines to be implemented for such crimes and taking ones life is become very easy and practical as the people know that they can come out of the mess by paying a small fine in the court.something like the fixed BLOOD MONEY SYSTEM SHOULD BE STRICTLY BROUGHT INTO EFFECT which may bring a difference or the JAIL TERM and IMPOUNDING THE DRIVING licenseATLEAST FOR FEW MONTHS may help. And if the driver is ABSCONDING immediately after the accident as it usually happens in INDIA the owner of the vehicle(bus owners)should be held responsible for the crime till the driver is produced for punishment.(SOME OF THE TIPS WHICH CAN BE IMPLEMENTED EASILY ACCORDING TO MY VIEW)

I had the opportunity to travel from Mangalore to Goa on 14.01.2012 in the night from 11.00 pm to 5.00 a.m. and back from Goa to Mangalore on 15.01.2012 1.00 pm to 10.00 pm. You see on the highway you shall have to maintain a certain speed. The locals do not have a care for the vehicles moving on the highway, they just swam inside the path of the vehicle proceeding a good speed suddenly cant avoid the incomers. Anyway may the soul of the deceased rest in peace.

From the photos- it seems the bike rider is on the wrong side of the road, unless both were travelling to the same direction.
All need to be riding safe when only one mistake might prove to be fatal.
