Mangaluru, Apr 30: The Nitte Institute of Hospitality Services (NIHS) successfully hosted its signature annual event, AROMA 2025 – food carnival, on April 26 at the NIHS campus grounds. The much-anticipated event brought together the vibrant spirit of hospitality, culinary creativity, and community celebration in an atmosphere filled with aromas, flavors, music, and fun.
The carnival was formally inaugurated by Siju Nambiar, general manager, Taj Vivanta, and Mohammad Imran Khan, general manager, Hotel Avatar. The event was graced by several distinguished guests of honour, including:



















Geetha Kulakarni, assistant commissioner of police, City Crime Records Bureau, Mangaluru, hussain, learning & development manager, The Lalit Resort, Bekal, Aashi, learning & development manager, Hotel Avatar.
Aroma 2025 featured 15+ food and shopping stalls, offering a delightful variety of cuisines, snacks, desserts, and handcrafted items. The carnival atmosphere was further elevated with engaging games, interactive fun zones, and continuous musical entertainment throughout the evening.
The cultural lineup showcased a high-energy dance performance by the renowned New Ocean Kids crew, along with spectacular performances by NIHS students, adding vibrancy and flair to the evening was a Flair show by more than 20 students at a time. The highlight of the event was the electrifying live performance by the Band Rhythm Mates, who mesmerized the audience with their dynamic stage presence and soulful music. DJ Shan added the final spark, spinning high-energy tracks that kept the crowd grooving until the end, truly serving as the cherry on top of an exhilarating evening.
The entire event was meticulously planned and executed under the leadership of Ian Pinto, student event coordinator, whose dedication and teamwork ensured smooth operations. The student team received unwavering guidance and support from Donald D’Souza, faculty coordinator, and the visionary direction of Dr Dhiraj Pathak, principal, NIHS.
AROMA 2025 was not just a food carnival, but a celebration of talent, teamwork, and the spirit of hospitality. It offered students a real-world platform to apply their learning, collaborate, and shine leaving an indelible mark of success and joy on everyone present.
