Mumbai: Advocate Shekhar S Bhandary appointed as notary by govt of India

Mumbai, Apr 30: Recognizing the distinguished legal service of advocate Shekhar S Bhandary, who has served as a criminal lawyer in the country’s financial capital for over three and a half decades, the Government of India has appointed him as a notary.

A native of Padubidri in Udupi taluk, Advocate Shekhar Bhandari completed his BCom degree from Vijaya College, Mulki in 1988, after which he moved to Kalyan in Maharashtra and settled there.

He began his professional journey in a private export company in Andheri. While working, he pursued his legal education and obtained his LLB degree from Thane Law College in 1989. He later completed his LLM and began practicing law at the Bombay high court. Currently, he is a well-known and experienced advocate practicing at both the Bombay high court and the city civil and sessions court.

Alongside his legal profession, he has also been actively involved in community service. He served as the president of the Bhandari Seva Samiti Mumbai and is currently the legal advisor of the same. He is also the vice-president of the Mumbai chapter of the Vijaya College, Mulki Alumni Association and the legal advisor of the Bhattipada Shani Temple in Bhandup.
