Mumbai, May 1: The Maharashtra government’s Women and Child Development Department has been ranked the top-performing department in the state’s 100-day policy drive, launched by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The ranking was based on ten key parameters including grievance redressal, digital services, office facilities, citizen convenience, and technology usage, according to an official release.

CM Fadnavis praised the campaign, saying, “This 100-day programme is about accountability, transparency, and efficient administration. These excellent officers have set an example for others.”

Among 902 policy targets set across 48 departments, 706 (78%) have been achieved. Twelve departments met 100% of their goals, while 18 others achieved over 80%. The campaign was assessed at multiple administrative levels from district collectors to police commissioners.

Districts like Chandrapur, Thane, Pune, and Palghar were lauded for exemplary performance. The CM congratulated officials and urged them to convert the initiative into a citizen-centric movement for better governance.
