New Delhi, Jun 3: The Indian Air Force dealt a major blow to Pakistan’s aerial capabilities by destroying six fighter jets, two high-value surveillance aircraft, a C-130 transport plane, over 30 missiles, and numerous drones during a four-day conflict in early May.
Sources confirmed that a key electronic warfare or Airborne Early Warning aircraft was hit by a long-range Sudarshan missile, while another Swedish-origin AEW&C plane was destroyed in a strike on Bholari airbase. Several Chinese-origin Wing Loong drones were also eliminated in coordinated strikes by Rafale and Su-30 jets.

The IAF tracked Pakistani jets disappearing from radar after missile hits and shot down more than 10 unmanned combat aerial vehicles. A Pakistan Air Force C-130 was destroyed in a drone strike in Punjab.
The operation, named “Operation Sindoor,” relied mainly on air-launched cruise missiles. It ended on May 10 after Pakistan requested a ceasefire following heavy losses. Indian forces are still analyzing data from the campaign, highlighting India’s advanced air combat and missile capabilities.
