Mangalore: Fire Engulfs Four Petty Shops at Thokkuttu

Mangalore, Feb 1: Four petty shops near Thokkuttu junction here caught fire in the early hours of Wednesday February 1.

The incident took place at around 4.45 am. 

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, but it is suspected that they were deliberatelty torched.

The four petty shops, belonging to Ibrahim, Haneef, Kamalaksha and Podiyaka, were completely charred. They sold fruits and vegetables.

Two fire engines were pressed into service and the fire was brought under control.

Ullal police arrived at the spot.

    This must be done on purpose to ruin the live hood of these hard working small business men. The police should find out the culprit and punish them severely.The pictures shows a sad scene as nothing was left after the fire.

    Very sad to see it was bread and butter to there family of shop owner s government should do something for them this could happen to anyone....may god repay thair loss....may world be in peace....
