Gurugram, Aug 8: A man allegedly spying on popular Haryanvi singer-rapper Rahul Fazilpuria has been nabbed by Gurugram police following an encounter in Manesar, where he was shot in the leg before being arrested.

The arrest comes weeks after Fazilpuria, whose real name is Rahul Yadav, narrowly escaped a shocking gun attack on July 14. Speaking to NDTV, the singer recalled how he mistook the assailants for fans before realizing they were armed.

"The attack was so sudden. At first, I thought they were my fans. Then I heard two rounds of firing... I was saved as I reversed my car quickly," he said.

The shooting occurred near Badshahpur Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) in Sector 71 of Gurugram. Two shots were fired at Fazilpuria’s car, one of which hit a divider pole. Fortunately, the singer escaped without injuries.

Police have yet to reveal the motive behind the spying, but investigations are underway to determine if there is a deeper conspiracy linked to the attack.
