Beltangady, Aug 14: Punjalkatte police have registered a case following a complaint by Nithin Devadiga, a resident of Kavalamoordur, regarding his younger sister who has been missing for over a decade.

According to the complaint, Nithin’s sister Hemalatha (17 at the time) had visited the Dharmasthala temple in 2012 but never returned home. The family has not heard from her since.

Nithin stated that in light of recent developments and ongoing rituals at Dharmasthala, he has urged the police to reopen and investigate the case to trace his missing sister.

Punjalkatte police have taken the complaint on record and confirmed that further investigation will be carried out.

    I feel very sad and pity for Mr. Nithin. He was under the hope that she will return and waited for 13 years. Now that she has not returned, he has filed a missing complaint!!!
