Suryapet, Aug 26: Six people were killed and several others sustained serious injuries after a private travel bus collided with a moving truck in Telangana’s Suryapet district early Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred around 5:20 am near Durgapuram stage when the bus, travelling from Hyderabad to Vijayawada, rammed into the truck. A total of 43 passengers were travelling on the bus at the time.

The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were moved to the mortuary for post-mortem examinations.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the accident.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed shock and grief over the incident and conveyed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives.
The Chief Minister directed the Chief Secretary to take all necessary measures to ensure that the injured receive the best possible medical treatment and that all assistance is extended to the families of the deceased.
