Udupi, Sep 6: "The Adarsha Shikshaka Award, presented by The Adarsha Charitable Trust (R), Udupi, in collaboration with Sri Adarsha College of Nursing, Adarsha Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Adarsha Paramedical College, Adarsha Hospital Udupi, and the department of school education, Udupi district, will be held on September 7," said Vimala Chandrashekar, CEO of Adarsha Hospital.
She further said, "Adarsha Charitable Trust has been celebrating Teachers’ Day for several years. The initiative recognizes and honors outstanding teachers, reflecting the institution’s deep respect and concern for the teaching community. By felicitating achievers, the organization aim to inspire other teachers to follow the same path, contributing towards building an ideal and healthy society. We firmly believe that the foundation of a healthy society begins with teachers.


"In this regard, the Adarsha Charitable Trust (R), Udupi, along with the Adarsha group of institutions and the Department of School Education, Udupi district, will organize the Udupi District-level Ideal Teacher Award Ceremony on Sunday, September 7 at 9:30 am at the Adarsha Group of Educational Institutions, Ketturu Road, Alevoor.
"The event will be inaugurated by Swaroopa T K, deputy commissioner, Udupi, who will also honor the teachers. Distinguished guests include Gurme Suresh Shetty, MLA, Kaup constituency; Prateek Boyel, CEO, Zilla Panchayat Udupi; Pramod Madhwaraj, former minister, Government of Karnataka; Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, president, Udupi District Congress; Yatish, president, Alevoor Gram Panchayat; Dr Suresh Hegde, president, API Udupi; Lokesh C, deputy director, Department of School Education, Udupi district; Vimala Chandrashekar, CEO, Adarsha Hospital Udupi; Dr Suhas G C, director, Adarsha Hospital Udupi; Sudeena, principal, Sri Adarsha College of Nursing; and Prof Ravi Kumar T N, Adarsha Institute of Allied Health Sciences and Adarsha Paramedical College, Alevoor," she added.
During the ceremony, 36 teachers will be honored with the Adarsha Shikshaka Award. The awardees will include 30 teachers from five educational zones of Udupi district, representing government, aided, and unaided institutions across primary and high school categories, along with 5 teachers from CBSE schools.
Dr G S Chandrashekar, medical director, Adarsha Hospital & president, Adarsha Group of Institutions will preside over the programme.
The press conference was attended by Diego Quadrous, manager Adarsha hospital and Dr Prashanth Pai, co administrator.
