Annual general body meeting of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh ® 2024-25 held

Mangaluru, Sep 15: The annual general body meeting of Catholic Sabha Mangalore ® for the year 2024-25 was held on September 14 at the Bishop’s House Auditorium in Mangaluru. The meeting commenced with a prayer and paid homage and offered prayers to the members of the organization who passed away in the previous year after serving and to Fr Vincent Monteiro who served as the spiritual director and passed away.

President Santhosh D'Souza welcomed all attendees. Vilma Monteiro, the secretary for the year 2024-25, read out the miniutes of the previous annual general meeting and the annual report. Auditors for the year 2025-26 were appointed. Treasurer Francis Monteiro presented the accounts. Subsequently, a programme to raise awareness about the Indian Constitution was organized. Fr Francis Assissi D'Almeida provided information as a resource person. Spiritual director Fr Dr J B Saldanha delivered his message.

Units and varados that achieved the highest membership enrolment in the previous year, highest subscriptions for Amcho Sandesh magazine and those who supported by providing advertisements along with the zones were honoured with awards. Members with 100% attendance at the monthly meetings of the previous year were honoured with mementos.

Vilma Monteiro the current general secretary delivered the vote of thanks. The meeting concluded with lunch in the afternoon.
