Udupi, Sep 15: Mumbai’s renowned ‘Alare Govinda’ troupe performed Dahi Handi at multiple locations of Udupi city on the occasion of 'Vitlapindi' on Monday September 15.

The 200 member troupe of Mumbai was given a grand welcome by the Udupi people and were cheered up for their incredible performance of breaking the dahi pot. The team performed at a total of 10 locations of Udupi beginning from Udupi Sri Krishna Math.

The team was given a grand welcome at the Girija Healthcare & Surgical Udupi by the proprietor Ravindra Shetty and his team. Madhusudhan Poojary Kemmannu, coordinator of Alare Govinda team felicitated Ravindra Shetty for his support. The coordinators and team managers of Alare Govinda troupe were also felicitated on the occasion.

Sharing his joy Ravindra Shetty said, “I thank my friend Madhusudhan Poojary for giving me an opportunity to be a part of this celebration. Girija Healthcare and Surgicals has always been in forefront for the betterment of the people. As it is a joyous occasion of Vitlapindi we joined hands to enhance the joy by supporting the Alare Govinda troupe in their performances. We will continue to support such events in upcoming days too. On September 28, we will be inaugurating our new showroom near Reliance Smart Bazaar near the old taluk office and we expect the continued support of our customers."

The Alare Govinda team performed Dahi handi at multiple locations of Udupi including Sri Krishna Math opposite to Kanaka gopura, Ather Showroom Kunjibettu, opposite to Nanda Gold, near VK Paradise near Sanskrit College, opposite Denta Care, opposite Girija Surgicals, Shyamili Hall, in Adi Udupi junction, near Mission compound and the last performance of the day at Adarsh bakery Ambagilu.
