New York, Sep 25: US President Donald Trump has claimed that he faced “triple sabotage” during his recent visit to the United Nations. In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump described three separate incidents that disrupted his appearance: a malfunctioning escalator, a non-functional teleprompter, and a complete loss of sound in the auditorium.
Trump said the escalator going up to the main speaking floor “came to a screeching halt,” adding that both he and First Lady Melania held the handrails tightly, preventing what could have been a serious fall. Calling it “absolute sabotage,” he suggested the responsible individuals “should be arrested.”
The second issue arose when Trump began his speech to a global audience. “My teleprompter didn’t work. It was stone-cold dark,” he said, adding that he continued without it and received “fantastic reviews” for his performance.
Finally, Trump claimed the sound in the auditorium was completely off, leaving world leaders unable to hear his speech. Melania, seated in the front, reportedly told him, “I couldn’t hear a word you said.”
“This wasn’t a coincidence; this was triple sabotage at the UN. They ought to be ashamed of themselves,” Trump wrote. He has demanded an immediate investigation and confirmed that the Secret Service is involved, stressing that all security tapes, especially those near the escalator’s emergency stop button, should be preserved.
