Women’s Commission demands comprehensive SIT probe into Dharmasthala deaths

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Nov 11: The chairperson of the State Women’s Commission, Nagalakshmi Chaudhary, has written to the Special Investigation Team (SIT), urging a thorough investigation to identify those responsible for the deaths of women in Dharmasthala.

Speaking on the matter, she clarified, “My letter does not suggest that the SIT has conducted the investigation improperly. The SIT’s probe should not be limited only to Burude Chinayya. A comprehensive investigation must be carried out into the deaths, including the unnatural deaths of women in Dharmasthala.

“I have requested the SIT to conduct the investigation and submit a detailed report to the Women’s Commission,” she said.
