USA, Nov 12: A powerful solar storm is expected to bring the northern lights to nearly two dozen U.S. states, starting Tuesday, November 11, and lasting into early Wednesday, November 12. The colorful aurora borealis is caused by interactions between Earth’s magnetic field and charged particles from the sun, creating spectacular displays in the night sky.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the aurora will be most visible between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Central Time. The phenomenon is forecasted to be visible across 21 states, including Alaska, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Vermont, Wyoming, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Residents in these states are advised to head to areas with minimal light pollution for the best chance to witness the northern lights, as this rare solar event offers a dazzling celestial display.
