Three booked after tourist from London assaulted at Bandra nightclub

Mumbai, Mum 8: Bandra police have filed an FIR against three individuals, including two bouncers, for allegedly assaulting a 30-year-old customer at a nightclub in Bandra West.

The victim, Ravi Tilwani — originally from Mulund West and currently working in London’s IT sector — had come to Mumbai on vacation. According to the FIR, Tilwani visited a club on Ambedkar Road around 12:40 a.m. on December 6 with friends Tirth Patel (33) and Umang Patel (31). While they were dancing, two bouncers allegedly attacked Tilwani “without any provocation,” hitting him with their hands and striking his head with shoes, causing bleeding.

When Tilwani questioned the assault, the bouncers reportedly dragged him out of the club and pushed him down the staircase toward the entrance. As his friends attempted to intervene, one of the accused — identified as Pranay — allegedly slapped Tirth Patel and hurled verbal abuse.

Tilwani’s friends called the police, who took all three to Bhabha Hospital in Bandra West for a medical check-up. After receiving treatment, they went to the Bandra police station, where a complaint was lodged against the two bouncers and a third individual. The FIR does not yet list the full names of all accused.
