Beltangady, Dec 14: Leopard movement has been detected in parts of Machina village, including the Anayanakadu, Mudipire and Kaila Kurudange areas, causing concern among local residents.

Locals said that leopards have been sighted, particularly during nighttime hours, often appearing when vehicles pass through the area. Repeated sightings over the past few days have heightened fear among residents, making movement after dark difficult.

Residents have urged the concerned authorities to take note of the situation and initiate immediate steps to capture the leopard and ensure public safety.
