Karkala, Dec 19: An investor awareness programme was held at Manjunatha Pai Memorial Govt First Grade College for faculty, PG and II BCom AEDP logistics students on December 19. It was the initiative of IQAC of the college in association with Commerce & Management Association.

The day began with inaugural programme. Prayer song was sung by Sourabha Pathak & team of I MCom, Louis Manoj Ambrose, coordinator of Commerce Association welcomed and introduced the resource person to the gathering.

It was presided by our beloved principal Prof Suresh Rai K, Prof Chandravathi, SWO and HoD of commerce and Vinay M S, IQAC coordinator of the college was present for the dais for the inaugural.

The title of the session was ‘Back to Basics’ by Leo Amal A, senior branch manager of Mangaluru branch, Franklin Templeton India Private Ltd. He spoke about two very important aspects of his presentation. First being, why investments and the second being cost of delaying investments. Examples and anecdotes of Warren Buffet made the session very meaningful.

The programme was eloquently compered by Sharanya of II MCom and Dr Avinash proposed the vote of thanks. In all 150 PG and UG students with faculty were present and benefited out of the programme.
