Bicholim: Impostors posing as police snatch woman’s mangalsutra in broad daylight

Bicholim, Dec 21: In a daring daylight crime, two impostors posing as police personnel allegedly snatched a woman’s mangalsutra at Bandarwada in Bicholim, triggering panic and concern among local residents.

According to sources, the accused approached the woman pretending to be police officials. Taking advantage of the situation, they managed to remove her mangalsutra and fled from the spot before anyone could react.

Soon after the incident, the Bicholim police rushed to the area and launched an investigation. Efforts are underway to identify and trace the accused, and police are examining possible CCTV footage from the vicinity.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the locality, with residents urging police to intensify patrolling and take strict action against such offenders.
