Thane, Dec 23: In a startling incident on Tuesday morning, a large tree fell on three parked vehicles along Pokhran Road No. 02 near Cosmos Horizon Society in Shastri Nagar, causing minor damage but no injuries. The mishap occurred around 9:50 AM, close to Bethany Hospital.
The vehicles affected included a Mahindra Bolero Pickup, a Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, and a Maruti Suzuki Swift, all of which sustained minor damage.
Officers from the Vartak Nagar Police Station, in coordination with the Disaster Management Cell, Fire Department, and Tree Authority personnel, worked swiftly to remove the fallen tree. The road was cleared and reopened to traffic after roughly two hours.
Authorities highlighted their readiness to handle such incidents efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to local commuters and maintaining safety in the area.
