Calangute, Dec 25: A 36-year-old man from Aldona was arrested by Calangute police on Tuesday midnight for allegedly possessing drugs worth around Rs 4.5 lac.

Acting on a tip-off about a drug operation near Little Goa Restaurant in Porbawada, police laid a trap and seized 45.3 grams of methamphetamine from Vishnu Shyam Harmalkar of Santarshet, Aldona.

The accused has been taken into custody, and investigations are ongoing under the supervision of Calangute Police Inspector Paresh Naik.
