Beltangady: Decomposed body found hanging from tree at Nidyara hill

Beltangady, May 6: A decomposed body was found hanging from a tree at Nidyara hill along the Savanalu–Karno?i road in Laila village.

The body was discovered after locals noticed a foul smell in the area and went up the hill to check, during which they found the decomposed remains.

The matter was reported to Beltangady police, following which police and the SOCO team visited the spot and conducted an inspection.

The deceased is said to be a male aged around 45 to 50 years.
