BJP leaders accord grand welcome to PM Modi in Bengaluru, present 13-kg silver statue

Bengaluru, May 10: Following the BJP's spectacular electoral victories in three states, prime minister Narendra Modi visited Karnataka on Sunday. State BJP leaders accorded a grand welcome and felicitated the Prime Minister at a mega event held at the HAL premises in Bengaluru.

During the event held under the leadership of former chief minister B S Yediyurappa, PM Modi was presented with a 13-kg silver statue as a mark of honour. He was also specially felicitated with a traditional Mysuru Peta and a shawl. BJP workers and supporters gathered in large numbers, celebrating the occasion by raising slogans in favour of the prime minister.

The event witnessed the presence of several senior BJP leaders, including Union ministers Pralhad Joshi, V Somanna, and Shobha Karandlaje. State BJP president B Y Vijayendra, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly R Ashoka, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, and MLAs Dr C N Ashwath Narayan and S R Vishwanath were also prominently present.

Coming on the heels of the party's success in three recent state assembly elections, the event turned into a massive victory celebration for BJP leaders and party cadre. Addressing the gathering, PM Modi highlighted the BJP's recent achievements and outlined the party's future political goals.
