Udupi: BJP Yuva Morcha stages protest against minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar in Manipal

Udupi, May 16: Members of the BJP Yuva Morcha staged a protest against the alleged neglect of Udupi district by the state government during the visit of Udupi district in-charge minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar to the DC office in Manipal on May 16.

The protesters, led by BJP Yuva Morcha leaders and party workers, gathered near the DC office carrying black flags and raising slogans against the Congress-led state government and Udupi district in-charge minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar. They accused the government of ignoring the developmental needs of Udupi district and failing to address several key issues concerning the people of the region.

As Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar arrived at the venue for the KDP meeting, BJP Yuva Morcha activists intensified their protest by shouting slogans. Police personnel deployed at the spot intervened and brought the situation under control to prevent any untoward incidents.

Yuva Morcha president Billady Prithviraj Shetty, state secretary Vikyath Shetty, general secretary Abhiraj Suvarna, members of Yuva Morcha, BJP leaders, and other party workers were present during the protest.
