Mangaluru, May 18: St Dominic Church Parish community celebrated the conferring of Sacrament of Confirmation on May 16. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, bishop of Mangalore Diocese, conferred the Sacrament on seventy-two members during the solemn Eucharistic celebration.
The parish community together with parish priest, assistant parish priest, dominican fathers, vice president, secretary, gurkars, parish pastoral council members, and parish finance council joyfully welcomed the bishop for the celebration.
His Grace then examined the candidates for the Sacrament and instructed them on Catholic faith. Post Eucharistic celebration, the parish community joined the recipients of the Sacrament in the celebration by cutting the cake and wishing them well in Christian life.
