New Delhi, May 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates at the 19th Rozgar Mela and said that global attention is increasingly focused on India’s young talent and technological growth.
Addressing the event virtually, the Prime Minister said the selected candidates are now part of India’s “Vikas Yatra” and will play an important role in achieving the vision of a developed nation.

He congratulated the new appointees and their families, noting that success is not only the result of individual effort but also the support of families and society at large. He also highlighted the contribution of the country’s 140 crore citizens in building opportunities for the youth.
Referring to his recent five-nation tour, PM Modi said global leaders and major companies had expressed strong interest in India’s youth potential and its expanding technological capabilities. He added that several international partnerships being formed are aimed at creating more employment opportunities, global exposure, and skill development for Indian youth.
The Prime Minister also mentioned key agreements signed during his visits to countries including the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Italy. He said these agreements are expected to directly benefit young Indians and strengthen the country’s development trajectory.
He specifically highlighted a strategic collaboration between ASML and Tata Electronics to support India’s first commercial semiconductor fabrication plant in Dholera, Gujarat.
The 19th Rozgar Mela was organised across 47 locations nationwide, with recruits joining various central government ministries and departments, including Railways, Home Affairs, Health and Family Welfare, Financial Services, and Higher Education.
The initiative is part of the government’s broader push to accelerate employment generation and streamline recruitment processes across public sector institutions.
