Sullia, May 29: Incidents of wild elephant attacks have reportedly increased in Todikana village of Sullia taluk, with major crop damage being reported on May 27.
According to family members, a herd of wild elephants entered the plantation belonging to Ishwar Bhat of Kadalivana and destroyed nearly 75 arecanut trees and around 250 banana plants.
In another incident, wild elephants reportedly raided the plantation of Hiranya of Peladka in Sampaje village, damaging coconut trees and banana plants.

Local residents have expressed concern over the increasing movement of wild elephants in the region and the repeated destruction of agricultural crops.
