Mangaluru, Jun 4: The Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy has organized a poets' meet titled 'Kavyan Vhalo-15' at the Academy Hall on June 6 at 4.00 pm.
The programme will be presided over by academy president Joachim Stany Alvares. Dr Vijayalakshmi Nayak, assistant professor at St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, will participate as the chief guest. Deputy chief traffic warden Francis Maxim Moraes will be felicitated on the occasion.
Noted poet Felsy Lobo Derebail will chair the poets' session. Valerian Moraes Takode, Smita Shenoy, Remy Katipalla, Dr Flavia Castelino, Anil J Coelho, Radhika Pai, Pedru Prabhu Takode, Merlin Mascarenhas, Alrisha Rodrigues and Lavina Danti will recite their poems during the event.
The academy has appealed to members of the Konkani community to participate in large numbers and make the programme a success.
