Porvorim, Jun 12: Tourism and IT Minister Rohan A Khaunte on Thursday led a series of community service initiatives in Porvorim to mark 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

The programme began with a “Swachhata Hi Seva” cleanliness drive at Betim, where volunteers and local representatives participated in cleaning activities aimed at promoting hygiene and public awareness.

Later, Khaunte visited the Vithoba Rakhumai Temple and Shri Guru Singh Sabha Gurudwara, offering prayers as part of the day’s commemorative events.

He also took part in the “Health with Ayurveda | Checked by Doctor 2.0” yoga and wellness session, which focused on promoting preventive healthcare and holistic well-being.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the milestone reflects Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to “Seva, Swachhata, and Viksit Bharat,” and urged citizens to actively contribute to nation-building through collective participation and community service.

Local leaders, panchayat members, and volunteers were present and actively participated in the various programmes held across Porvorim.
