Patna, Jun 14: Thousands of candidates appearing for the Bihar Police Prohibition Constable examination staged a massive protest at Patliputra Railway Station after several trains carrying examinees reportedly arrived late, triggering chaos and disruption in rail services.
According to reports, a large number of students descended onto the railway tracks and blocked train movement, raising slogans and demanding immediate arrangements to ensure they reached their examination centres on time.
The agitation severely affected railway operations, with several trains stranded on different platforms for hours late into the night. Rail traffic through the station remained disrupted as protesters continued their demonstration.

Senior railway officials, along with the Danapur Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) and an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), rushed to the station and held talks with the agitating students in an effort to restore normalcy.
To defuse the situation, the Railways arranged special trains and made alternative transportation arrangements for candidates travelling to examination centres in various districts. Officials assured students that all possible efforts were being made to minimise inconvenience and help them reach their destinations.
After several hours of protest, authorities succeeded in persuading the students to clear the tracks, allowing railway operations to gradually resume. However, multiple train services passing through the station continued to face delays due to the agitation.
