Lucknow, Jun 16: Three members of a family, including a pregnant woman and a three-year-old child, were killed in a tragic road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad district on Tuesday after a state Roadways bus collided with their motorcycle.
The lone survivor, who was riding the motorcycle, sustained critical injuries and is currently undergoing treatment in hospital.

According to police, the victims were travelling from Sambhal to Nagpur when the accident occurred near the Gagan river on the Delhi bypass road.
The deceased have been identified as Simran, her three-year-old daughter and her sister, Mantasha. Simran was pregnant at the time of the accident.
Officials said a speeding state transport bus, which was allegedly out of control, rammed into the motorcycle from behind, causing all four occupants to be thrown onto the road.
“The accident took place when a family from Sambhal was travelling to Nagpur on a motorcycle. Junaid, who was riding the bike, has been admitted to hospital, while his wife, sister-in-law and daughter succumbed to their injuries,” a police official said.
Local residents immediately rushed to the scene and, along with police personnel, helped shift the victims to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared three of them dead on arrival.
The impact of the collision reportedly caused severe injuries to all four individuals, with the child and the two women dying at the scene itself.
Following information about the accident, police from the Katghar police station reached the spot and began an investigation.
Authorities have seized the Roadways bus involved in the incident and launched a search operation to trace the driver, who allegedly fled immediately after the accident.
Police said further legal proceedings are underway, while Junaid remains under intensive medical supervision in critical condition.
