New Delhi, Jun 22: The Rajasthan Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has arrested a woman from Jaipur on allegations of maintaining contact with members of Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed and other anti-national elements, officials said on Sunday.
According to officials, the accused, identified as Babita Dhakad, also known as Khadija, is a native of Gangapur City and was residing in Jaipur at the time of her arrest. She was taken into custody following intelligence inputs suggesting her alleged association with extremist elements operating from outside India.

A senior ATS official said that a preliminary examination of her mobile phone uncovered the use of two SIM cards and a Facebook account containing objectionable material, along with links to profiles based abroad.
Social Media Activity and Foreign Contacts Under Investigation
Investigators reportedly found several social media profiles in her friend list displaying flags, symbols and content allegedly associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed and other extremist organisations. Some accounts also featured photographs resembling armed militants.
Authorities further discovered that her WhatsApp account had records of communication with multiple Pakistani phone numbers and other foreign contacts.
According to officials, several Pakistani numbers were saved in her contact list, and investigators are examining whether any of them are connected to terror operatives.
The ATS is currently analysing the nature of these interactions to determine whether they carried any operational significance.
During interrogation, the woman allegedly told investigators that she had converted to Islam after receiving guidance from a Pakistan-based Mufti through phone conversations.
Officials also suspect that individuals linked to her foreign contacts were planning to facilitate her travel to Pakistan.
Investigators are now probing the extent of her communications, their purpose, and whether a larger network may be involved.
Case Registered Under UAPA
Based on the preliminary findings, the Rajasthan ATS registered a case against the accused under provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, along with relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
She was produced before a court, which remanded her to ATS custody until June 27.
Officials said the investigation is continuing, with forensic teams examining her digital devices, social media activity and foreign contacts to establish the full extent of the alleged links and identify any possible associates.
