Mundra, Jun 23: Adani Mundra Airport on Tuesday commenced commercial operations with the arrival of its first flight from Goa, marking a new phase in air connectivity for the Kutch region.
The airport, developed by Adani Airports Holding Ltd, has launched eight new air services in partnership with Star Air, creating a direct travel corridor connecting Mundra with key cities including Goa, Hindon, Surat, Belagavi, Bengaluru, Kolhapur and Nanded.
The new connectivity is expected to boost trade, tourism, logistics and business activities in the region by linking India's largest private port, Mundra Port, and the Mundra Special Economic Zone (SEZ) with national and global markets.

The new terminal was inaugurated by Adani Airports Holding Ltd Director Jeet Adani.
According to Adani Group, the airport has been designed to support passenger and cargo operations with a 1,900-metre runway capable of handling various aircraft types. The modern terminal includes spacious parking facilities and multiple check-in counters to improve passenger experience.
The company said the air link will provide a crucial last-mile connectivity solution, helping streamline the movement of goods through the port and integrating regional trade networks with wider supply chains.
The airport is also expected to strengthen synergy between Adani Group’s aviation and port operations, further supporting economic growth in the Kutch region.
Adani Group currently manages eight airports across India, including airports at Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Mangaluru and Guwahati.
