New Delhi, Jun 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday chaired the 52nd meeting of PRAGATI (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation), reviewing major infrastructure projects worth nearly Rs 30,000 crore and directing authorities to expedite execution while strengthening measures against rising cybercrime and digital fraud.
During the high-level meeting, Modi assessed the progress of four key infrastructure projects in the road, power, industrial corridor and metro rail sectors. Stressing the importance of timely completion, he said delays not only increase project costs but also deprive citizens and industries of the intended benefits.

The Prime Minister instructed ministries and state governments to resolve pending issues on a mission mode basis and ensure continuous monitoring to prevent further setbacks.
Highlighting the role of integrated planning, Modi urged departments to make effective use of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan platform. He emphasised the need for regular updates of project-related data, utilities and public assets on the portal to help identify bottlenecks early and improve coordination among agencies.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of the government's TB-Free India campaign. Modi encouraged the adoption of advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), for disease surveillance, patient monitoring and awareness programmes. He further suggested involving NCC cadets and MY Bharat volunteers more actively in community outreach initiatives to support tuberculosis eradication efforts.
Expressing concern over the increasing number of cybercrime complaints and digital arrest scams, the Prime Minister called for stronger coordination among law enforcement agencies, banks and digital platforms. He stressed the need for faster response systems to prevent financial losses and improve information sharing among stakeholders.
To strengthen cybercrime investigations, Modi pushed for wider implementation of the e-Zero FIR system across states. The mechanism enables swift registration of cybercrime complaints and allows authorities to initiate immediate action, particularly in financial fraud cases where quick intervention is crucial.
PRAGATI is a technology-based governance platform that enables the Prime Minister to monitor major infrastructure projects, public grievances and flagship government programmes. The platform aims to improve coordination between the Centre and states, remove administrative bottlenecks and ensure timely delivery of development projects and public services.
