New Delhi, Jul 1: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in Uttar Pradesh over the alleged misappropriation of donations at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, alleging that those responsible would not face punishment under the present dispensation.
Addressing a press conference, Kejriwal claimed that only a change in government would ensure justice in the case.

"If you want the donation thieves to be punished, then the government must be changed. The present Central government and the present State government cannot ensure punishment," he said, adding that every devotee of Lord Ram seeking accountability should vote for a change in government.
The former Delhi chief minister also accused the BJP of exploiting Sanatan Dharma for political gains.
"These people do not consider Lord Ram as God; otherwise, they would not steal. Lord Ram has given them everything, including governments in 21 states and at the Centre. They should at least thank Him," Kejriwal alleged.
Claiming that the AAP was the only party with genuine faith in Sanatan Dharma, he highlighted initiatives such as free pilgrimage schemes, the construction of a Kali and Luv Kush temple in Punjab, Bhajan Sandhyas and corruption-free governance.
Kejriwal also questioned Union Home Minister Amit Shah for allegedly not visiting the Ram Temple since its consecration.
Claiming that more than two-and-a-half years had passed since the consecration ceremony, he alleged that Shah had referred to the Ram Temple multiple times in speeches while seeking votes but had not visited the shrine.
"I request Amit Shah to visit the Ram Temple. Does he not feel the need to seek Lord Ram's blessings?" Kejriwal asked.
The remarks come amid an ongoing investigation into the alleged misappropriation of donations at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. Uttar Pradesh Police are probing alleged financial irregularities, including the handling of cash donations, counting room operations and the role of individuals associated with the temple's donation management.
Earlier this week, a court in Ayodhya remanded the accused in the case to 14 days of judicial custody as the investigation continues.
