Mandaviya leads ‘Sunday on Cycle’, urges people to embrace fitness

New Delhi, Jul 19: Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Dr Mansukh Mandaviya on Sunday participated in the 82nd edition of the 'Sunday on Cycle' campaign in New Delhi, which saw the participation of personnel from Ayushman Arogya Mandirs across the country.

Speaking to the media, Mandaviya said health workers joined the campaign by cycling at more than 15,000 locations nationwide, strengthening Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Sunday on Cycle' movement.

He said the initiative has conveyed a strong message on health, fitness and environmental responsibility.

Describing cycling as a simple activity with significant benefits, the minister urged people to dedicate one hour every Sunday to cycling. He said the practice helps maintain fitness, reduces pollution and contributes to saving the country's fuel resources.

Mandaviya appealed to citizens to make cycling a regular part of their lifestyle to help build a healthier and fitter India.
