Heavy rain damages houses in Bantwal taluk

Bantwal, Aug 1: Continuous rainfall across Dakshina Kannada district has caused damage at several places in Bantwal taluk, according to official reports.

At Kagudde in Tenkabellur village, the roof of the house belonging to Jaya Sapalya collapsed due to the heavy rain.

In Daddu of Rayi village, a coconut tree fell on the house of Seethavathi, wife of Vishwanath Poojary, causing damage to the structure.

Another house belonging to Prashanth, son of Vasu Sapalya, at Mogarnadu in Narikombu village also sustained damage due to the inclement weather.

No loss of life or injuries have been reported in any of the incidents.
