Mangaluru, Aug 2: The husband of a 53-year-old woman, who passed away shortly after being admitted to a hospital, has filed a complaint with the Pandeshwar police alleging that a 32-gram gold karimani chain went missing from her body.
The deceased has been identified as Janaki (53), wife of Sundara Poojary, a resident of Shaktinagar. According to the complaint filed on Saturday, August 1, Janaki experienced severe chest pain on the morning of July 26. She was immediately rushed to a private hospital in the city in an auto-rickshaw.

As a cardiologist was unavailable at the private facility, she was shifted to Wenlock Hospital for advanced treatment. However, upon examining her at the emergency ward, the doctors declared her dead.
The complainant stated that Janaki was wearing a gold karimani chain weighing approximately 32 grams when she was taken to the hospital. The family noticed the chain was missing when they examined the body later. Sundara Poojary has urged the police to thoroughly investigate the matter, identify the culprit who removed the chain, and take necessary legal action.
