Mangaluru: Stree Sanghatan organizes cooking without fire competition

Mangaluru, Aug 3: The Stree Sanghatan (Women's Organization) of the City Deanery organized a ‘Cooking Without Fire’ competition at the deanery level for all the members of the Stree Sanghatan on Sunday August 2. 

Fermai, Neermarga, Kelarai, Kulshekar, Shaktinagar, Bajpe / Bajal (Bajody), and Angelore units participated in the competition.

Shaktinagar unit won the first prize. Kelarai unit bagged the second and the third prize was shared between Angelore and Bajody units. 

Fr Sylvester D'Costa, the director of the City Deanery Stree Sanghatan, served as the president for this competition. Fr Prakash D'Cunha, the parish priest of Infant Mary church, Bajody was present as the chief guest, along with judges Ashwini and Vinyas from Yenepoya University.

Deanery president Clara Pinto welcomed all the gathered attendees. Deanery secretary Usha Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks at the end of the programme. Prizes were then distributed to the winners, concluding the event. Meena Pinto compered the programme as the emcee.
