Mangaluru, Aug 4: Confraternity Sunday was celebrated with great devotion and spiritual fervour at St Dominic Church, Ashoknagar, bringing together the parish community in prayer, Eucharistic worship and fellowship. The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr Dominic Vas, OCD, president of the CRI Unit of the Mangalore diocese and director of Rishivana Retreat Centre, Mangaluru. In his sermon, he reflected on the importance of Eucharistic faith, Christian witness and the responsibility of every believer to remain united with Christ and actively contribute to the life of the Church.












































Following the Holy Eucharist, a Eucharistic procession was held through the town. The faithful participated in the procession with prayer and devotion, publicly witnessing their faith in the Eucharistic Lord. The procession culminated at the parish church with Solemn Benediction, bringing the Eucharistic celebration to a prayerful conclusion.
At the conclusion, Fr Daniel Veigas, OP, parish priest, expressed his gratitude to the main celebrant, Fr Dominic Vas, OCD, for his presence and spiritual guidance. He also thanked all the parishioners who worked together to organize the celebration successfully.
The celebration also provided an opportunity for the members of the parish community to come together in fraternity and thanksgiving. The spirit of unity and fellowship was evident throughout the celebration. The Confraternity Sunday celebration concluded with renewed enthusiasm among the faithful to deepen their Eucharistic devotion, strengthen their fellowship and continue their service to the Church and the parish community.
