Kadaba: Tribal minor, two classmates allegedly assaulted at Kundadka Falls; case booked

Kadaba, Aug 11: Kadaba police have registered a case after a minor boy belonging to a Scheduled Tribe and two of his classmates were allegedly abused, assaulted and threatened with death at Kundadka Falls on August 3.

According to the complaint lodged on August 11, the minor boy, who is the complainant in the case, had gone to Kundadka Falls with four of his classmates on the morning of August 3 to play.

While the students were at the spot, the accused — Rohith, Deviprasad, Chandan and Umesh — allegedly arrived there along with the father of a girl student who was with the group.

The accused allegedly confronted the minor boy and abused him using obscene language before assaulting him and two of his male classmates. They also allegedly issued threats to their lives.

Based on the complaint, Kadaba police have registered Crime No. 97/2026 under Sections 189(2), 190, 351(3), 352 and 115(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and Sections 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) and 3(2)(va) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015.

The case is under investigation.
