Family seeks justice for Nishana, demands life imprisonment for accused

Mangaluru, Aug 12: The mother and family members of Nishana, who died under suspicious circumstances at Kallugundi in Sullia, along with social activists, submitted a petition to the Dakshina Kannada superintendent of police seeking justice for her death.

Led by social activist Hakeem Koornadka, the family urged the police to conduct a comprehensive investigation and take stringent legal action against the three accused, demanding life imprisonment for those responsible.

Nishana’s mother Zubaida also requested that a qualified government advocate recommended by the family be appointed to represent the case, ensuring justice for the victim’s family.

Social activists Ashraf and Hannath were also present during the submission of the petition.
