Mangaluru: 80th Independence Day celebrated at Hayathul Islam Badriya Jumma Masjid, Madrasa

Mangaluru, Aug 15: The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with grandeur at Hayathul Islam Badriya Jumma Masjid and Madrasa in Mangaluru.

The national flag was hoisted by Bashir A K, president of Hayathul Islam Badriya Jumma Masjid and Madrasa, along with Masjid Khateeb Sirajuddin Faizi Al Maabari, Sadar Ustad Mohammed Iqbal Faizi Makhdoomi, Muallim Abdul Khader Saadi, vice-president Razak A R and other dignitaries.

As part of the celebrations, prizes were distributed to students who emerged victorious in various competitions.

Treasurer A P Iqbal, general secretary Mohammed Arif, former panchayat member Sajuddin, former presidents Haji Mohammed Haneef and Mayyadi, senior member Haji Haneef Moulavi and others were present on the occasion.
