Udupi: Women’s Day Celebration Held in Belman

Udupi, Mar 26: Women’s association of St Joseph Church, Belman, celebrated the annual day of their association on Sunday March 25. The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Fr Ronald Pinto, assistant parish priest.

Later in the evening, a stage programme was held along with a culture programme in St Joseph primary school hall. Fr Lawrence D’Souza,  parish priest was the president of the day along with Lydia D’Cunha, the diocesan president of women’s association.

Violet Menezes, Shirva varado president and Jecintha Mathias, secretary of Shirva varado, Fr Ronald Pinto, assistant parish priest, Sr Grace D’Souza, superior of the Don Bosco convent, Gregory Menezes, vice president, Lydia Aranha, church secretary, Severine D’Sa, the president of women’s association and secretary Shanti D’Souza were present on the dais.

After the stage programme, a variety entertainment programme was presented by the members. The programme was well coined by Vimala D’Souza, Janet Saladanha and Irene Mendonca.
