Sullia: Fire Caused by Short Circuit Guts House, Grocery Shop

Sullia, Mar 28: A house with a grocery shop as an annexe was gutted in a fire in Jogiyadka, near Kukkujadka, on Monday March 26.

The building owned by Anand Gowda caught fire on Monday night due to short circuit.

Jewellery and belongings including cash amounting to Rs 25,000, 800 kgs of black pepper and grocery, altogether worth nearly Rs 12 lac was also gutted in the fire.

ZP steering committee president Navin Kumar Menala, Tahsildar Vaidyanat, and Mescom officers visited the spot.

Gram panchayat president Radhakrishna Bollur and BJP village committee president Arun Nayarkallu also visited the spot.
