Mangalore: Vibrant Flowers, Fruits on Display at Kadri Park for Three Days

Mangalore, Mar 28: District agriculture department, zilla panchayat , Mangalore City Corporation and Siri agricultural department will jointly organize a fruit and flower exhibition at Kadri Park here from Friday March 30 to Sunday April 1.
 
Marking the year of horticulture, the event will showcase potted plants, decorative flowers, vegetable carvings, medicinal plants and various other varieties.

Addressing a press meet here on Wednesday March 28, Dr S Nanda, assistant director of agriculture department said the expo will be organized for three days with various other activities in order to create interest towards gardening among people. The flowers and vegetables will be displayed in a creative manner and flowers grown in different climate will also be exhibited.
 
Along with fruit and flower expo, a food festival will also be organized to attract a large number of people. Private exhibitors will also take part in this event.

Laxmirao Aroor, Siri vice-president, Joe Pradeep D'Souza, senior assistant director were present.
