Bengaluru, Sep 4: The Karnataka High Court has allowed actor Duniya Vijay’s appeal seeking divorce from his wife Nagarathna and directed him to pay Rs 2 crore as compensation to her within three months.
A division bench comprising Justice D K Singh and Justice H Shanthibhushan pronounced the order on Thursday in connection with the appeal filed by Vijay against the family court’s decision.
Vijay had approached the family court seeking divorce from Nagarathna. However, the family court dismissed his petition in 2024, following which he challenged the decision before the High Court.
Duniya Vijay married Nagarathna in 1999. He later married actress Keerthi in 2016.
The High Court, while allowing Vijay’s appeal, directed him to pay Rs 2 crore to Nagarathna within three months. The detailed order is yet to be released.
