Mapusa, Sep 20: Anjuna police have registered two cases against Gaurish Shirodkar, owner/director of Beatrix Holiday Pvt Ltd and Go Life Vacation Pvt Ltd, and his staff for allegedly cheating tourists through fraudulent holiday package presentations.

According to police, the first complaint was filed by Nilesh Patil, who alleged that in May 2026, the accused and their representatives approached him through a lucky draw promotional activity and invited him to a presentation at a hotel in Anjuna.

Patil alleged that, under the guise of offering an international holiday package, the accused induced him to transfer Rs 1.1 lakh through his credit card on an EMI facility.

He later discovered that several other people had allegedly been similarly cheated and said the accused stopped responding to his calls.

The second case was registered on the complaint of Bengaluru resident Raghav Choudhary.

Choudhary alleged that on December 27, 2025, Shirodkar’s firm approached him and his wife in Arpora and presented a holiday package covering several domestic and international destinations.

The couple was allegedly induced to pay a total of Rs 1 lakh using their Bank of Baroda and HSBC credit cards.

Police have registered both cases under Section 318(4) (cheating) read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
