Hardoi, Sep 29: At least 17 people were injured after a bus travelling from Delhi to Lucknow overturned on the Ganga Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi district early Tuesday, police said.
The accident occurred around 4.30 am in the Bilgram area.
The injured passengers were rescued with the help of local residents and taken to the Community Health Centre in Bilgram for treatment. Two seriously injured passengers were later referred to the district hospital for further medical care.
Police reached the spot after receiving information about the accident, secured the damaged bus and regulated traffic on the expressway.
An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances leading to the accident. The exact cause will be established after the probe, police said.
